Terms and Conditions

ictgames Subscription Service — Last updated: 25 June 2026

1. About these terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the subscription service provided at ictgames.com (“the Service”) by ictgames ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 09937230) (“we”, “us”, “our”). Our registered office address is held on the public Companies House register and is available on request.

By subscribing to or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published at ictgames.com/terms at the time of your purchase or renewal applies to that subscription period. We will notify existing subscribers by email of material changes.

To contact us about these Terms or the Service, email contact@ictgames.com.

2. Who we are and what the Service is

ictgames provides online educational games for primary-aged children, accessible through a web browser at ictgames.com. The Service gives subscribers access to games and content that are otherwise restricted.

The Service is provided on a subscription basis across three tiers — Home, Class, and School — as described on our pricing page. Each tier permits a different level of concurrent use, as set out at the point of purchase.

3. Payments and the role of Paddle

Our order process and payments are conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service enquiries relating to payment and handles billing, tax, and payment processing.

This means that when you purchase a subscription:

  • Paddle, not ictgames, is the seller of record for the transaction.
  • Paddle calculates, collects, and remits any applicable VAT or sales tax for your jurisdiction.
  • Your payment receipt and invoice are issued by Paddle.
  • Paddle’s Buyer Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy apply to the payment transaction, in addition to these Terms. You can review them at paddle.com.

For any billing query — a charge you don’t recognise, a refund request, a payment problem — you may contact Paddle directly, or contact us and we will assist.

4. Subscriptions, tiers, and credentials

4.1 Subscription tiers

The Service is offered in three tiers, each intended for a different scale of use and each subject to a maximum number of simultaneous sessions (“concurrent-use limit”). The current concurrent-use limits and prices for each tier are stated on our pricing page at ictgames.com/pricing and are shown to you at the point of purchase.

Tier Intended for Typical concurrent-use limit
Home A single family or household 3 simultaneous sessions
Class A single teacher or tutor with one class or tutee group 35 simultaneous sessions
School Whole-school use within one school 500 simultaneous sessions

The concurrent-use limits shown above are indicative of the current limits; the limits applying to your subscription are those stated at the point of purchase. We may adjust the limits for future purchases, but the limit applying to your subscription will not be reduced during your paid period.

You must select the tier appropriate to your intended use. Each tier is licensed only for the scale of use it describes:

  • A Home subscription may be used only within a single family or household.
  • A Class subscription may be used only by one teacher or tutor with the pupils of their own class or tutee group. This includes private tutors and home tutors teaching their own pupils.
  • A School subscription may be used only within the single school that purchased it. It does not extend to other schools, including other schools within the same multi-academy trust or group; separate subscriptions or a bespoke arrangement are required for additional schools.

Using a tier to serve a larger group, or a different group, than it is intended for — for example, using a Home subscription for a whole class, or sharing a School subscription across multiple schools — is a breach of these Terms and may result in suspension or termination of your subscription without refund.

4.2 Term and renewal

All subscriptions run for a fixed period of 12 months from the date of purchase. Subscriptions do not renew automatically. We will send reminder emails before your subscription expires, but it is your responsibility to renew if you wish to continue using the Service. Access ends at the end of the paid period unless renewed.

4.3 Login credentials

On purchase, you will be issued login credentials:

  • Home subscribers log in using their email address and a system-generated password.
  • Class and School subscribers log in using a chosen username and a system-generated password, intended to be shared among the pupils within that class or school.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all use of the Service under your credentials. You must not share credentials beyond the group your tier is intended to serve. We may rotate or suspend credentials that we reasonably believe have been shared or distributed beyond the permitted scope.

4.4 Concurrent-use limits

Each tier permits a maximum number of simultaneous sessions. When this limit is reached, additional login attempts may be refused until existing sessions end. These limits are part of the definition of each tier and are not a fault in the Service.

5. Intellectual property and permitted use

5.1 Ownership

All games, content, software, code, designs, graphics, audio, text, names, logos, and other materials made available through the Service (“the Content”) are owned by ictgames ltd or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trade mark, database rights, and other intellectual property laws. All rights are reserved.

Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Content online, through a web browser, for the personal or educational purposes appropriate to your tier, for the duration of your subscription. It grants you no ownership of, or any other rights in, the Content.

5.2 What you may not do

You must not, and must not permit or enable any other person to:

  • Download, copy, save, cache (other than ordinary browser caching during online play), or otherwise store the games or Content for offline use. The games are licensed for online play only.
  • Reproduce, distribute, publish, transmit, broadcast, or make the Content available to any person outside the scope of your subscription tier.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, extract, or attempt to derive the source code, assets, or underlying structure of any game or software.
  • Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works from the Content.
  • Remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trade mark, or other proprietary notices.
  • Use any automated system (including scrapers, bots, or downloaders) to access, copy, or extract the Content.
  • Frame, mirror, embed, or republish the Content on any other website, platform, or application.
  • Use the Content for any commercial purpose other than the educational use permitted by your tier (for example, you may not charge third parties for access, or incorporate the games into a paid product of your own).
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any access control, security, paywall, or technical protection measure.

5.3 Enforcement

Any breach of this Section 5 is a serious breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your subscription immediately and without refund, and to pursue any legal remedy available to us, including injunctive relief and damages, in respect of unauthorised use of the Content.

The rights and restrictions in this Section survive the expiry or termination of your subscription.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not use the Service:

  • In any way that breaches any applicable law or regulation.
  • To gain unauthorised access to the Service, our systems, or any related systems or networks.
  • To introduce any malware, virus, or other harmful material.
  • In any way that disrupts, damages, or impairs the Service or its availability to others.

We may suspend or terminate access for any user who breaches this Section.

7. Children, data, and safeguarding

ictgames is designed for use by primary-aged children, and we take our responsibilities to them seriously.

  • Home subscriptions must be purchased by a parent or guardian (aged 18 or over) on behalf of children in their care.
  • Class and School subscriptions are purchased by a teacher, tutor, school, or institution.
  • The Service is designed so that no personal data about pupils is collected. Pupils log in using shared credentials and we do not gather names, contact details, progress data, or any other personal information about the children who play the games.
  • We process the account holder’s contact details (such as the purchaser’s email address) only to administer the subscription. Our Privacy Policy, available at ictgames.com/privacy, explains how we handle personal data.
  • The Service is operated in a manner consistent with the UK Children’s Code (Age Appropriate Design Code) and the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

8. Cancellation and refunds

8.1 Your right to cancel

Where you are a consumer (for example, a Home subscriber), you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of purchase under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. However, by purchasing and accessing the Service immediately, you acknowledge that the Service begins at once and that your right to cancel may be affected once you have started using it. Where a refund is due, it will be processed through Paddle.

8.2 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Paddle as Merchant of Record, in accordance with Paddle’s refund policy and applicable consumer law. To request a refund, contact us or Paddle. We deal with refund requests fairly and in line with your legal rights.

8.3 Cancellation by us

We may suspend or terminate your subscription without refund if you materially breach these Terms, in particular the intellectual property and acceptable use provisions.

9. Availability and disclaimers

We aim to keep the Service available and working well, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control.

The Service and Content are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, conditions, and representations not expressly set out in these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, data, or goodwill.
  • Our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with the Service and these Terms, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, is limited to the amount you paid for your current subscription period.

Nothing in this Section affects your statutory rights as a consumer, where applicable.

11. General

  • Governing law and jurisdiction. These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales (subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence).
  • Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
  • No waiver. If we do not enforce a provision of these Terms, that is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
  • Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Paddle’s buyer terms, form the entire agreement between you and us in relation to the Service.
  • Assignment. You may not transfer your subscription or your rights under these Terms to another person without our consent. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another entity.
